In this page we are going to discuss about the on page and off page optimization. Before entering into that I want to say a very important fact that the keyword (the word that you’re targeting for search engine optimization) should be included in the address of your blog. If the main keyword is not available then try adding some other words or make changes to the original one by adding ‘-‘.
The next step is the on page optimization. It is nothing but the care that should be taken before writing the post on your blog regarding the keyword or the topic that you have selected. It is better if you include your main keyword in the blog title.
Keyword should be included in your post. But certain limits should be followed before the keywords are included in your post. If excess of keywords are found in your post then Google may ban your site.
24 keywords can be included for every 400 words of your post. It is better if you follow this rule.
Its better you have a study on blogs or websites which rank top on search engines first. Have a study on their page rank, content etc…
View the source of those sites. You can view it by using the source option on the view tab of tool bar. By opening the source you can find the keyword included under the header, the words which are bold, the words included under inverted commas etc... If that site doesn’t have the main keyword in the header then you try putting it in the header.
Try writing long posts including the keywords in it. Google likes long posts and hence it may benefit you and may place you in better position.
After this we have to switch to the off page optimization. Off page optimization is the important step and the raking of your blog mainly depends on this. It is the optimization that involves the backlinks. Backlinks are the links that link back to your site from other sources. The more backlinks you have the better you get ranked.
But now the Google is also analyzing the site from which we get the backlink. It also checks the page rank of the site which llinks back to you. So if you have a few links from good page rank sites you will be ranked well. If you get those links from irrelevant sites then you may get ranked but you may not have you may not have good position in search engines.
But it is really hard getting backlinks from high PR sites and that relevant ones. Of course we can buy them but for beginners it not advisable. It’s better if they invest after getting quite a good experience in this field.
Then How to get backlinks? Don’t worry there are many other ways to get these backlinks. The first and foremost thing is through article sites. Just rewrite the article that you have posted in your blog and submit it to the article site. They will publish your article in their site. You have to put hyperlinks with your keywords in the anchor text.
In this you will get backlinks from the article site. It’s better to submit your article to as many article sites as you can. It’s better if you submit it to more article sites. If the article site does not accept links in the text then put it in the resource box provide at the bottom.
If anyone likes your text and copies then he will put the text along with hyperlinks in it and this may advantage you getting even more backlinks.
The other way of getting backlinks is through Web 2.0 social networking sites like mix.com, dig.com and propeller.com. Just post a article on these sites and if your article gets more number of votes then your article gets to the front pages on the search engines and the link may get more powerful.
The last and final method used by a few people is by creating hubpages and squidoo lenses. Google likes them very much and easy to get them indexed. But we should also send some backlinks to these pages.
The main and important factor is that is we need to have patience. Google may sometimes take to index your blog or it may sandbox them. If you do everything right then Google surely indexes your blog. It may also take some time before you blog gets to the first page. But never give, once you start getting the traffic to your site then you can just sit back and earn a lot.
