Before starting the discussion on “How to make money online” lets have a look over the questions haunting your mind like
Do I need a website?
Do I need to invest?
Do I need to have any previous experiences?
And all crappy questions like dat. If you have any of them then there is nothing to worry about that you are going to get the right answers for them here.
For beginners it’s better if they don’t buy or own a website. It’s is better if they use a blog instead of a website and about investment it’s better to do it after you get confidence that you are going to make money online.
The best and legitimate way to get a good income online is through search engine optimization. Just create a blog on a particular topic and optimize it for the search engines like Google, yahoo and msn. There are several other search engines but their count is negligible.
The most important search engine among them is the Google search engine. It’s constitutes more than 70% of search volume on the global internet. So it’s to focus on Google than any other search engine. For that first we have to focus on how Google gives position to different sites on its search engine. We have to get our site onto the first page so that we can get a good traffic.
For this the Google follows some rules and regulations. Its assigns some ranks to the websites so as to place them in particular position in the search engine. It ranks different sites or blogs for a score of 10. The more rank u have its more better.
There are different factors which affect the Google rank. The first one is the originality of the content written or u have on your site. The second is the backlinks that follow to your site. The more the backlinks u have from other sites the more rank u have.
It is not essential that you have more backlinks you can also have a few backlinks from good ranking sites which can get you a good ranking to your site. But how to get backlinks? I’ll get back to it later.
If u have no backlinks but have written original content for about a year then u may have a ranking of about 1/10 or 2/10. But if u have a few backlinks from Pr 5 and Pr6 blogs then your ranking will rise to 5 or 6.
The first and foremost step in this process is selection of a niche. Niche is nothing but the topic that you are going to select and create a blog or website on it and optimize it for the search engines.
The selection of niche is very important. A niche should be selected based on the traffic that it has or based on the search volume it has. There are many free tools on internet which gives us information on this topic.
Then after the selection of the niche create a website or blog on it. I suggest everyone is to create a blog as it is simple to create and it has more possibility to get indexed on Google. Though if your niche doesn’t workout then you have nothing to loose as it is just a free blog nothing more.
To create a blog just log on to blogger.com and login using Gmail account and create a blog of your own. Set the settings so that it is free for exposure to the search engines. You have this option in the settings tab after creating your blog.
Care should be taken such that the address should have the keyword that you are targeting in for optimization on search engine.
